I would like to begin first by saying;  My search in books, internet and YouTube left me with more questions than answers about the origins of Taoism.  My next phase of research for China and the blue light took me into this research to better understand Taoism since I would be traveling to China which I thought was the birth place of Taoism.  I felt a little naive about it all so wanted to be able to ask well informed questions when meeting Taoist Masters in China.  Well I must say this as well, my research took me down many rabbit holes.  I could have invested 3 months just on this research because of the enormous amount of material.  Taoism actually goes back 5,000 years or more and it is a written structure for life that follows the natural order of life.  Out of all the details I found myself getting lost in there was one basic teaching that I found summarized Taoism for me.  Taoism and the practice of Taoism in living your life like a flowing river.  When a river meets a mountain, it does not slam the mountain over and over and over again until the mountain falls.  The river bends and turns and follows the path of least resistance around the mountain.  The practice of Wu Wei in Taoism means without effort.  This will be an important lesson that I was to learn in my meetings with Masters in China.

Now I would like to make a point here;  I am not an expert on Taoism.  Even since returning from China there is a deep part of me that came home knowing less than before and being okay with that.  Actually having to be okay with that because like a river, it was expected that I just go with the flow.  Not press or pound with the force of my curiosity against the mountain but to just relax and allow the natural flow of the unfolding river of information to reveal itself when it was ready.  On one side, my ancestors /spiritual guides where pressing me to go to China in search of the blue light and on the other side in China there was a current of understanding that I should not be even asking.

Clairvoyant since the early 90’s and a registered nurse since the early 80’s provided a combined background that inspired intense curiosity of ancient forms of the healing arts.  Here in the United States we are still like children in our knowledge.  Where as in China their ancient teachings have been recorded for 5,000 years.  As I watched the videos of Taoist Masters healing individuals and groups my eyes widened with excitement.  I observed the ancient practice of channeled readings, passing chopsticks through the table while the chopstick remained whole, knocking over books across the room by simply sending the energy of Chi out of their hands, setting paper on fire with the chi from their hands, and watching as masters touched individuals and their body would move uncontrolled as strong currents of chi surged through their body.

And then of course there is Kungfu Panda!  This Dream Works animated film was based on the ancient practice of Taoism.  The more I learned the more excited I became to meet these Master healers who might just share some of their knowledge with me!  When I shared this with my friend who was born in China, she told me that this level of working with Chi was simply every day knowledge in China.  Their healing practices could be found anywhere but she wanted me to meet with some real advanced masters while I was there.  The concept of that level of ancient knowledge was beyond comprehension for my western mind.  So back to the river of my mind, bending with the flow, not pressing with my curiosity and need to know now!

I invite you to watch the thousands of YouTube videos on the subjects spoken of here.  It will open a new world for you.
