Laughing in the Dark cracks through the low points of depression, anxiety, and stress. When in those darker, heavier states of thinking in cyclic ways, spiraling into greater depths of struggle the last thing anyone wants to do is laugh. Tragedy is not funny, sadness is not funny, grief is not funny, living in anxiety and fear is not funny. So when those places are being experienced by you or someone you love it can be a real challenge to shift the frequency. In our 3rd dimensional world, is where the heavier energies reside. These heavier emotional experiences are not a part of the 5th dimensional realm. We must learn to allow the 5 D frequencies into those heavier places to lift us up. But how do we inspire ourselves to move towards those lighter states when we feel so low? It takes a lot of effort for sure, and the more you can practice when not so low, the easier you can shift back into a lighter mood. Laughing Through the Darkness

An instant bond is created when you can laugh with other people, unifying consciousness. We have watched those videos where one person on a train starts to laugh uncontrollably for no apparent reason. Then the people around that person starts to laugh and before you know it, everyone on the train is laughing while even forgetting who actually started the laughter to begin with. Have you ever experienced something like this? I have and even hours after the event, I found myself thinking back over it and would spontaneously start to laugh again. Children can instantly laugh out loud in a deep belly way for no reason at all. How is this possible? Why is this true for children but not adults? When did we forget to laugh? Once the laughter begins you find the rest of your day is simply fun.


Laughter has a big enemy and that enemy is seriousness. The energy of seriousness puts a big lid on laughter, playfulness, and silly games. Seriousness is an energy that wants to control the lighter energies around it. Seriousness is a contracting energy to your aura and does not want your aura to expand. Serious grumpiness is like taking a big thumb and pressing down on your head while sucking all the energy out of the room. Why would seriousness be of benefit to anyone? Well often society holds a belief that seriousness is able to hold a better focus, help people be more responsible, and seriousness can get the job done. Seriousness tends to be a bit more grounded, yet can flatten the top of your aura. Too much laughter can be controlling as well. I remember once being in a classroom with about 30 students. Every time the energy would start to settle into a deeper state of relaxation, two individuals would crack a joke, or start giggling until they fell into peels of laughter. At first it was funny to everyone and contagiously spread around the room. However, after the 3rd time, I begin to see that the individuals became triggered when the room became too still, too quiet and too relaxed. There can be many reasons for this but most of the reasons are associated with childhood memories. If the mood became too serious in the home then it could become unsafe. Or keeping the parents entertained so they remained in a good mood, again so the child could remain safe. Which side do you find yourself standing on most often?


In the 5th dimensional realm and higher, everything is considered a frequency. If you can imagine all the different frequencies in the world as having a sound it would probably sound pretty discordant right now. What would you imagine stress sound like? How about depression, rage, violence, fear, or criticism and judgement? All of those are energy expressions of frequencies, of sound in those higher dimensions. Now imagine the frequency sound of laughter, playfulness, joy, and resilience? We have been programmed to believe that we have no control over what we are feeling. We also have been programmed to believe these heavier states of being have more control over us than they do. However, let me be clear here, I am not referring to heavier emotional states of being when tragic or traumatic events cause an emotional shock to the body. I am also not saying that events like the earthquake in Turkey were 12,000 plus people have died should be turned into a fit of laughter. What I am referring to are those low places, that you have already explored in a healing way, still have you feeling stuck and unable to move through it. For example, I had a client, who feared that her husband would leave her. This was the topic of conversation for two years, as well as seeing a therapist, journaling, doing somatic exercises, and tapping therapy. Choosing to shift the mood to a lighter perspective is a personal job that no one else can do for you.


What is happening in the energy field when you are in a super grumpy serious state of stuck? Well to this clairvoyant it looks like this; The aura is tight on top of the head, cutting you off from your higher self and only focusing on the mental self. The left side of the energy field is in a state of collapse, which indicates a disconnect from the feminine aspects of your energy field. The feminine divine is a lighter finer intuitive receptive energy more easily prone to laughter. There is a larger bounding robust flow of male energy on the right side, which is all about action and I hear the words, militant action. When the masculine divine flow is more in balance it moves us to apply action to intuitive information. It helps us to feel active and alive with a strong sense of purpose. However in this situation, it is too dominant. Moving further along in what the field looks like, is a twisting at the mid section where the 3rd chakra is located. This twist and bend at the solar plexus provides less spiritual light being distributed to your life allowing again more mental effort and serious input to rule the day. What is happening in the energy field when you are laughing, light hearted and light minded? The auric field is expansive, light and bright. Your higher self located in the crown chakra (7th) is super bright illuminating like a light house. This light is pouring into the human energy field activating the spin of each chakra into higher states of motion. These higher states allow you to have a greater access to solutions to any problems you might have. These higher active states of each of your chakras provides an opportunity for you to express your highest best most authentic self without doubts. This pouring light from spirit infuses down your grounding into the earth. Everything around you shifts under your feet moving you in more expanded directions of choice. The surge of fresh energy infuses all of the organs in your body to include your brain, and nervous system, relaxing every cell of your body.

So when I am talking about laughing in the dark it is all about allowing laugher to cut through those heavier denser energies that can be a burden between you and experiencing happiness. Which can take a lot of practice, especially if you have been feeling down for quite awhile, even several years. Remember laughter is an energy, in fact it is a spiritual energy that is activated by your crown chakra. We are a culture of mental thinkers and being valued for our ability to think through complex, complicated, problems to solve. When in India, a social worker told me that when westerners come to India they are envious of their ability to be very spiritual active in their daily life. He then went on to say that in India, they are envious of the west because we are raised to be independent thinkers. He continued on about how here in the west, we make great entrepreneurs, creating new business ventures that no one else thought of before. We also can create great scientist, new thought creators and innovative when it comes to thinking outside the box.

When you feel disconnected from spirit your aura is stuck to the top of your head and your spirit light is blocked from coming down into your aura, your body and your life. When you expand your aura to include the light of your soul, humor become second nature. Your spirits amused way of looking at life has an opportunity to show you just how funny some circumstances can appear especially in our own behaviors to things. How often are you surprised that someone became triggered by something so minor? How often do others ask you why you take things so serious and can not see how funny something is? Being able to laugh at yourself is truly a superpower that you can develop with practice. Make sure you watch the YouTube video on the subject so you can practice the tips shared there.

This is NOT a laughing matter! There are many global and personal events that are NOT a laughing matter. In fact, there are going to be incidences where you were hurt or harmed and there will never be anything funny about it. However, these lifelong events that can linger in your memories for lifetime(s) can seem to suck the life out and taking a break to be able to laugh at a comedy, movie, or play, might just be what you might need to break the cycle of sadness even if it is just for a few moments. So do not forget to create times of laughter in your life. Let those laughing endorphins surge through your body helping to lift the mood because truly, Laughter is good medicine.
