Divine Disruptions: Embracing Soul Interventions

Do you find your life shaken up by divine disruptions? Do you struggle to embrace it as a soul intervention? It is not a requirement to be at a higher conscious level to know that our world is changing. Just look back to where you were in your life 5 years ago compared to today, what have you noticed? What does it mean to have a divine disruption and soul intervention? It means that your spirit has attempted to get your attention to help you guide you out of a situation that might be unhealthy for you. A Soul Intervention can help you get back onto the path that will take you where you dream to go when distractions pull you this way and that way.

In this video and blog, I talk about how to embrace Divine Disruptions.

Twenty Five years ago I was teaching a weekend ‘Intuitive Development’ course. There were about 25 students in that course, with an age range between 50 to 80 years old. There is a past life segment in the course. I teach past lives in a gentle way of imagining you are sitting in a movie theater, watching the movie screen to see what story is being shown. I start the segment by asking for a show of hands, “How many of you in this room believe in past lives”? At that time (25 yrs ago) only 3 people raised their hands high, 5 others halfway raised their hands, 3 people lightly threatened to leave the class if I talked about past lives and the remaining 14 students did not believe in past lives at all.

This example of my student’s belief in past lives is because it is such a great measure of how much we have changed over time. I taught this same course (10 years ago) at a convent-run retreat center. Two of the nuns asked if they could join the class. When it was time for the ‘Past Lives’ segment, I asked who in here believed they may have lived a past life before. Out of the 30 students, every single one robustly raised their hand, including the two nuns. In literally 15 years there has been a dramatic change in consciousness around the belief of past lives. So what do you think about these dramatic changes? If you believe in past lives, how did that revelation happen for you? Did you have to experience a soul intervention as a divine disruption?

Are you facing a conflict between changing your life in your timing and divine timing? This is exactly when you have a higher potential to experience some type of disruption to your life to get your attention. Who or what is getting your attention? It is your own spirit intervening on your behalf even if you find it disrupting in a way that upsets you. A regular client of mine was working long hours and would even go into the office on the weekend to catch up on paperwork before starting the Monday workweek. When she came in for a psychic reading and healing I was not aware of her work life. Immediately, her spirit came through and said she needed to take a 3-month sabbatical from her job. Her spirit stated that she needs to stop her insane work schedule. This is when the client told me that yes, she was working 12-hour days, 7 days a week and even took work home with her. But …she said, “There is no way I can take time off, my position is so specialized that no one can replace me.” Then her spirit stated (for me to share) how will you be replaced if you had an accident or illness that forced you to take time off?” The client went in and talked to her department cutting her days down to 3 days a week, worked no more than 8 hours, and no longer went in on weekends. She intervened on her behalf and disrupted the potential trajectory of her outcome.

Move or be moved was what my spirit told me often in the beginning of my training on how to listen to my own spirit. What does ‘MOVE OR BE MOVED’ actually mean? It certainly can be open to your own interpretation, but I do not think it literally means move to another house, job, state or country. The message move or be moved means either you make the decisions to move in or out of situations to redirect your life changes or your spirit will need to move you through a soul intervention to do it for you. Often this movement is totally out of your control. Do you remember a time when your spirit had to divinely disrupt your life so you could put it back together again in a healthier way? Often I see this when a job or relationship change is required to uplift your frequency for a new level of abundance.

My early life depended on soul interventions to disrupt my life into shifting directions and making changes. Some of those soul interventions were jarring and others were as gentle as a falling feather. I never knew that my soul intervention was taking over the direction of my life. I simply chalked it up to a normal life event that is part of the human condition. One story I would like to share is layered with spiritual meaning. My job at the hospital was in the human resources to assist the staff with their employee benefits. One day the Nurse Recruiter stepped into my office and said, “Nancy, you would make such a great nurse”. I found myself JOLTED away from the project I was working on. Looking up, smiled, and thanked her for such a wonderful compliment. We went back and forth as I stated that I was not smart enough to be a nurse while she insisted I was. She took me up to observe nurses working with patients and then drove me to the local college nursing school to hear about what is required to be a nurse. That day, I placed my name on the list to go to nursing school and never looked back. This is an example of a soul intervention (via another person) that yes, disrupted my life, in a very good way.

When you constantly ignore your spirit’s attempts to get your attention, your life will become such a drama-filled chaotic mess where everything seems to be falling apart.
Often this includes drugs or alcohol that numbs your ability to hear the call of your soul. When this happens, your spirit intervention will begin light, then add levels of more extreme interventions until your life is disrupted so much you are begging for things to change. I call this the ultimate wooden plank 2×4 effect where you have to be hit right upside the head to get your attention. My 2×4 effect was illness, and I still did not listen, and then the next 2×4 effect was an out-of-body experience. Now that got my attention, which led to my spirit-led life that I have now. Have you ever felt like there’s a movement happening in the world, but somehow, it’s just not reaching you? This is where soul interventions come into play. I would venture to guess that your spirit is offering whispers of movement, but you just might not be noticing or paying attention. Whether it’s a health crisis, relationship challenges, or a feeling of being stuck, your soul is always communicating with you. You might desire something big in your life to change and your spirit just might be saying, are you sure you want this? Are you really sure sure you want to go for this big dream? Then, you lose your job, your spouse asks for a divorce, you are experiencing a lot of anxiety, as your life is totally divinely disrupted to shift you towards your desired goal. Do you know how often my spirit has reminded me that I am the one that asked for this? Move or be moved, but let your spirit know that you do not need your life to fall apart to make that move. Then be prepared to really listen to those sign post along the way so that you are conscious of the movement. For more insights to know the signs of awakening, I found this blog enjoyable.

The world is awakening on every level imaginable. Spirit shares with me that every human soul on the planet is awakening. There is nothing you can do to stop it. Move or be moved means that you can be critical, skeptical and resistant to all this talk about the expansion of consciousness and your spirit will move you kicking and screaming if that is necessary. As a nurse, psychic healer, I can tell you that the most stubborn individual, is dissolved into a pure awakening state just by the death of someone they love a lot. Often it is the death of their mother. Suddenly the greatest bar type fighting skeptics, find themselves in a race against time to know everything there is to be known about the spirit world. So if you are sleeping with someone who thinks your rapid paced daily decisions to remain positive is ridiculous? Just give it time, because their own spirit is planning the great intervention. Remember, you are not their awakener, their own spirit is.

Like a fire in the forest can ignite a dormant seed to open, your soul intervenes to help you burst open and grow. But how do you know if you need one? Listen closely to your inner voice, your gut instincts, and the nudges from your soul. Don’t wait until your soul has to intervene forcefully—make your own moves toward awakening. Whether it’s a health crisis, relationship challenges, or a feeling of being stuck, your soul is always communicating with you. You are on a journey of self-discovery and empowerment. Let’s embrace our divine nature and awaken to the fullness of life together.

How do you move yourself and follow that inner nudge? First, slow down your life, even if it is for an hour, and sit quietly. Notice if your are experiencing peace and calm inside of you or is it noisy and chaotic. If it is noisy and chaotic, let yourself know the source of the inner noise (like 100 radio stations blaring at the same time). Most of the time you are going to know exactly why you are unsettled. Then ask your own spirit to help you make the moves necessary to return to a state of settledness. The answer may not come in that moment, but your spirit is clever in its ability to get you all of the messages you need. Close your eyes and allow your spirit to teach you the ways you need to hear those messages. If it is a big change that needs to happen, then give yourself time to put things into place to make that movement. If it gets noisier inside then its time to pay attention again. Each time you move, check in again with your own spirit for the next steps. Visit my website to download a free guided meditation which will help tremendously. However, it does not replace that quiet time you create for yourself to have that talk just between you and your spirit.

This makes so much sense. Interventions have happened to me so many times. Nancy has outlined some of them. Currently I am at a cross road and Im not sure where I am going but I have changed from previous experiences and now wait for direction and keep working on my inner place so I can hear when the time is right.

    Thank you Nancy

  2. Wow! The video in particular made me think. I had a full scholarship to pharmacy school. Then in the beginning of my sophomore year, I sustained a serious concussion, waking up in the infirmary. It caused me to drop out of pharmacy; I couldn’t bend glass and classmates laughed. I ended up becoming a chiropractor; I am actually an energy healer but felt I needed a license to touch people. Then, in ’01, I had a herniated disc. I was practicing in Philadelphia at the time. I was never really comfortable living in the city, too much frenzied energy. A friend brought a reiki master to work on me. He asked what was the pain really? From my bowels, I blurted, “I hate Philadelphia!” I made plans to move. My partner and I had a vacation property in the mountains in northern PA. In ’03, I moved. Those were biggies. I have tended to listen to my intuition. I built myself a labyrinth. Whenever I have a question, I walk my labyrinth and look to nature or my thoughts for answers. Sometimes, I walk to say thanks for being there.
